Khushoo's Focus Mode feature uses Apple's Screen Time API. By enabling this feature, you grant the app permission to restrict access to selected applications during prayer times. You can disable this feature at any time through the app settings or your device's Screen Time settings.

How does Focus Mode blocking work?

Khushoo uses Apple's Screen Time API to block apps you select during prayer times. When prayer time begins, the selected apps will show a shield screen instead of opening. You can unlock early after 5 minutes or wait for the full duration.

Why do I need to grant Screen Time permission?

Screen Time permission is required for the Focus Mode feature to work. This allows Khushoo to temporarily restrict access to apps you've selected during prayer times. Your Screen Time data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Can I customize which prayers trigger blocking?

Yes! You can enable or disable blocking for each of the 5 daily prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) individually in the Focus settings.

What is Strict Mode?

Strict Mode adds an extra layer of accountability. When enabled, you must confirm that you've prayed before apps are unlocked, helping you stay committed to your prayer practice.

What is Haya Mode?

Haya Mode automatically blocks adult content websites on your device using Apple's built-in web content filter. Once enabled, there's a 48-hour waiting period to disable it, which helps prevent impulsive decisions and keeps you committed to a pure browsing experience. The name "Haya" comes from the Arabic word for modesty.

Why is there a 48-hour delay to disable Haya Mode?

The 48-hour delay is an accountability feature designed to help you stay committed to your choice. It prevents impulsive disabling during moments of weakness and gives you time to reflect on your decision.

How are prayer times calculated?

Prayer times are calculated using your location and the calculation method you select in settings. We support multiple calculation methods used worldwide.

How do I restore my purchases?

Go to Profile > Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
